Haitian Artists Shine: Niko, Naïka, Alan Cavé, and Cultural Highlights

Haiti

Haitian singer-songwriter Niko released “Li Se” on March 6, 2026, the fourth track in a five-song project. The socially engaged song denounces corruption and inequality while personifying Haiti as a symbolic female figure. Produced with Wide Music, BbO, and PM Music, it blends poetic storytelling with sophisticated instrumentation, highlighting Niko’s artistic and social commitment.

The National Brewery of Haiti (BRANA) won three gold medals at the 2026 Monde Selection international competition in Brussels. The awards recognized its Prestige, Malta H, and Kinanm brands, reflecting the quality, precision, and expertise of local teams.

Haitian fashion designer Phelicia Dell celebrates 20 years in the industry with the Echoe of Elegance gala on April 4, 2026, at the Flamingo Room, Gulfstream Park, Florida. The event highlights her contributions to Caribbean haute couture and philanthropic initiatives through her NGO, Fleur de Vie, supporting education, health, and environmental projects.

The Haïti À Déguster Festival prepares for its third edition on March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The festival promotes Haitian gastronomy, focusing on cassava, recognized as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, and offers live music, entertainment, and raffles featuring DJ Nos and Power Mix.

Diaspora

In Paris, Franco-Haitian singer Naïka performed on March 5, 2026, at Élysée Montmartre as part of her Ecclesia Tour 2026, featuring Kalash for a compas collaboration. Her show combined alternative pop with Caribbean influences.

Haitian-Canadian artist KingH509 released “Lambi” on February 25, 2026, mixing konpa, hip-hop, and afrobeats. Inspired by the historical symbol of resistance represented by the lambi, the track explores identity, memory, and Afro-Caribbean heritage, leading up to his upcoming EP Faut qu’ça roule and a new album expected in fall 2026.

Haitian rapper BigFa released his album Operasyon Sabotaj on February 26, 2026, available on YouTube and streaming platforms. Bridging Haiti and Miami, the album combines Haitian rap, trap, and drill, addressing immigration, interpersonal relationships, and generational challenges.

The Haitian psychological thriller The Box, directed by Jeff Léona, will have its European premiere at the Rapport Festival of Film 2026 in London from March 27–29. This 39-minute short explores Haitian social and systemic realities through suspense and character-driven storytelling.

Haitian singer Alan Cavé is preparing for a major concert on March 28, 2026, at MGM Music Hall, Boston. The Se Pa Pou Dat 25 | 35 Live Concert will trace his career from his time in Zin to his solo journey, marking a cultural highlight for the Haitian community in the U.S. Northeast.

International

In Libreville, Gabonese designer Chouchou Lazare transforms raffia into haute couture, combining cultural heritage with international ambition. Recognized repeatedly since 2002, his creations showcase traditional materials in contemporary fashion while introducing a new generation to global markets.
