The Dirección General de Migración (DGM) announced that it conducted 634 migration enforcement operations on February 25 across multiple provinces in the Dominican Republic.
A total of 787 foreign nationals in irregular migratory status were detained, while 790 individuals were deported in accordance with current legal procedures.
The operations took place in Greater Santo Domingo, the eastern, northern, and southern regions of the country, as well as at key border areas including Elías Piña, Jimaní, and Pedernales.
The DGM specified that 153 foreign nationals were handed over to migration authorities by security forces. Of those, 67 were transferred by the Dominican Army and 47 by Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre (CESFRONT).
Deportations were carried out through control posts located in Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní, and Pedernales.
According to the authorities, these operations form part of a broader effort to strengthen migration control measures nationwide.
