The Dominican Republic<\/span><\/span> expelled 67,940 Haitian nationals between January and February 2026, according to data released by the Direcci\u00f3n General de Migraci\u00f3n<\/span><\/span><\/a> (DGM).<\/p>\n

Authorities stated that those individuals were apprehended in irregular migratory status during operations carried out across several provinces, with the support of military and police forces.<\/p>\n

This strategy forms part of the mass deportation plan ordered by President Luis Abinader<\/span><\/span> since October 2024.
