Cap-Haïtien, July 18, 2025 – The Center for the Facilitation of Investments (CFI) is inaugurating its new regional office today at the Vaudreuil Administrative Complex in Cap-Haïtien.
The ceremony will be attended by several high-profile figures, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) representative, Ms. Corinne Cathala, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Alfred Metellus, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. James Monazard. Former Finance Minister André Lemercier Georges will also present an overview of the Northern Corridor.
Fatima Leonne Prophète, Director General of the CFI, views the opening of this office as “a true catalyst for investment in Haiti.” According to her, this initiative aims to bring CFI services closer to regional investors while fostering economic opportunities outside the capital.
With this new branch, the CFI intends to improve support for project developers and entrepreneurs in the Great North by simplifying administrative procedures and making information on business opportunities more accessible.
