Sunrise Airways Launches New York–Cap-Haïtien Route Amid Persistent Customer Complaints

The Haitian airline will operate the new route every Monday and Thursday, while ending its operations at Newark Liberty International Airport on October 20. To mark the launch, the company is offering a 25% discount on base fares through October 16, using the promotional code HELLOJFK, for travel between November 16 and December 15, 2026.

However, the expansion comes amid complaints from passengers reporting baggage-handling difficulties and canceled reservations despite having already paid for their tickets. Such experiences raise concerns about customer service, operational reliability, and the protection of passengers’ interests.
