The government of the Dominican Republic has expressed deep concern over escalating tensions in the Middle East following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and uphold international humanitarian law in order to prevent further destabilization.
Dominican authorities also condemned attacks attributed to Iran against Gulf states and expressed solidarity with the countries affected by the violence. The statement further emphasized the risks associated with nuclear proliferation and its implications for global security.
In response to the evolving situation, Dominican diplomatic missions in the region have been instructed to strengthen security measures and ensure consular assistance for Dominican nationals abroad.
