Port-au-Prince, February 24, 2026. The meeting, organized around the theme “Going beyond words: acting today for a prosperous and sustainable CARICOM,” will bring together the region’s leaders to discuss several strategic issues.
Items on the agenda include regional security, economic integration, climate resilience, food security, and strengthening political cooperation within the Caribbean space.
Small delegation
The head of government will be accompanied by a delegation comprising his special adviser, Me Guerly Leriche, Ms. Raina Forbin, a member of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet, as well as Mr. Kendy Joanéus, a security officer.
Planned bilateral meetings
On the sidelines of the conference proceedings, the Prime Minister is expected to meet with several Caribbean leaders, with the aim of strengthening cooperative relations between Haiti and CARICOM member states.
A bilateral meeting is also announced with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, scheduled for Wednesday, according to the statement.
Regional commitment reaffirmed
According to the authorities, this participation is intended to reaffirm Haiti’s commitment to work alongside CARICOM member states to strengthen regional stability, solidarity, and sustainable development in the Caribbean.
The Prime Minister’s return to Haiti is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, 2026.
